Pat chicken dry and season lightly with a pinch of the salt.
Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden but not fully cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
Reduce heat to medium. Add onion, jalapeños, and red bell pepper. Cook 5–7 minutes, scraping up browned bits from the pot.
Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Add cumin, chili powder, coriander, smoked paprika, oregano, cayenne, and 1 tsp of the salt. Cook 30–60 seconds to bloom the spices.
Blend ½ cup of the beans with 1 cup of the broth until smooth.
Add remaining broth and the bean purée to the pot. Stir well.
Return chicken and any accumulated juices to the pot. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook 18–22 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
Remove chicken and shred with two forks.
Return shredded chicken to the pot along with remaining whole beans and corn. Simmer uncovered 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
Stir in lime juice, cilantro, and remaining salt to taste.
Serve hot with lime wedges.
